Hackyard runs small, capped hackathons called Yards.
A Yard is between 20 to 50 solo builders, one theme, one weekend. No teams, no pitch
decks, no gatekeepers. Free, always.
Yard #1 — theme: "No accounts." Build something genuinely useful
that needs zero sign-up, zero login, zero email. 48 hours. Open-model —
bring Claude, GPT, Grok, Gemini, whatever you already pay for.
What's different: nobody judges you. There's no panel and no
organizer override. Every signed-in user gets one vote, votes are final,
counts stay hidden until close, and the submission order reshuffles on
every page load so nobody wins by submitting first. The top vote-getter
is crowned automatically by the database.
The rules are public and say exactly what's enforced, what's published,
and what runs on trust: hackyard.tech/faq
